hi there one and all.. what a feeling.. oh what a wonderful feeling. The weather is beautiful and the cloud of illness is leaving me.. oh what it is to feel clear. Me and Nou went out to the Progression Sessions last night at the Junction. It rocked. LTJ Bukem and MC Conrad in fulll effect. The whole place was moving with such energy and the beats..ahhh I really forgot how much I love that beakbeat ting. Some of the sounds that Bukem was layering were really dubby space chamber echoes... awesome. Thursday, November 14, 2002

KING SHILOH PLAYS THE JUNCTION, CAMBRIDGE 21st NOVEMBER 2002 admission: #7adv & concessions/ #8 door 9pm - 2am (no entry after 1am) 18+ (i.d. may be required) King Shiloh Sound System based in Amsterdam, Holland is an evergrowing international, independently operated roots reggae sound system, founded and inspired by the inspiration of Jah Rastafari. King Shiloh has been around for over two decades following the old school traditions of sound system; trusting in personalised equipment, often self-made, created to play a specific role in putting across the right sound. Also, like the original tradition of sound system, their crew is large and all-encompassing with operator and selector Bredda Neil, Ras Lion as mc, Lyrical Benjie selector, singer and healing of the nations chanter, President Kirky dj, singer and chanter, Billyman sound technician and truck driver, Iyah One studio engineer and sound technician and Danny Red as promotion manager and sound technician. When not operating the sound system the crew are found in their recording studio creating much of the exclusive music heard at their truely upfull dances; their dub plates being passed on to the likes of Jah Shaka and Aba Shanti-I who play them till they can be played no more. King Shiloh is full of positive energy, giving guidance and spiritual upliftment. So come feel the rootsman foundation sound at the Junction on 21st November. Experiance the booming basslines, crashing cymbals, screaming sirens, eerie echoes, and serious heartical, upful Gideon-style singers which will give you positive upliftment, staying with you for days to come.. by Jimmy Basssteppa, Cambridge Revelation 2000.
