STOP PRESS..... Jah Shaka has been injured in a fire. He is safe but will not be playing the Junction, Cambridge tonight. Stepping in, however, are the mighty Iration Steppas of Leeds. We are talking sheer live dubwise bliss. Boom Boom BOOM BOOM! Molecule rearrangement in place. See you all there. greetings ye followers of ISIS. I must appologise for a lack of postage over the past few days. I've been spending my web window searching the globe for some rocking one drop dub hits. But alas to no avail. It seems the magic of my own record collection will have to suffice.. i am spending the weekend in Brighton however so i'm sure that i'll loose myself in a shop for an hour or two.. it all depends. In my humble opinion record shops fit into one of three classifications: 1) corporate - hmv, fopp etc 2) wannabe - they try but the limited knowledge and attempt to make music cool fails them and so they are left to the people who need to make a statement by the bags they carry their units in and whatever scene is good to go mcdonalds stylee. 3)mecca - a record shop pure and true. wall to wall vinyl. second hand records. a reggae section that features more than two Peter Tosh albums. A place safe and warm from the harsh realities of today's sterile society. hmmmm.. just dreaming of 4.30 on a Saturday afternoon and stepping in to Swordfish Records, Birmingham with £25. anyway its not too late to get a ticket for JAH SHAKA tonight. You know it makes sense. love you all cx Tuesday, September 24, 2002
